John founded the band in 1999 with Gary under the name 'Sol'. John writes many of the tunes and makes most of the noise. His curiously strong singing voice and heavy handed guitar are signature to the Trouble Clef sound. He's down to earth, very outspoken and has a flare for crowd control.
